Car Insurance
When calculating the insurance premiums they charge, the insurance companies
take into account a number of different factors, these include the various
statistics compiled on all accidents resulting in an insurance claim. These
statistics allow the insurance companies to assess the potential risks of
various groups of people, for example those aged 17-25 are considered to
be a high risk group, whilst those 50+ are deemed to be at a low risk of
having an accident.
Womens Car Insurance:
These figures show that women are statistically less likely to be involved
in an accident which was their fault, and the accidents where they are at
fault tend to be lower speed and result in lower value claims. Because of
these more favourable statistics, the insurance premiums for women tend
to be lower and there are some insurance companies that specialise in only
dealing with womens car insurance.
When arranging your womens car insurance you may find it best to start with
the insurance companies that offer specific policies for women – see
our list of the companies offering womens
car insurance. While there are many car insurance policies on offer
that are aimed at women, any standard car insurance will take into account
the lower claim statistics and you will benefit from these in a lower premium.
